Find Your Kraving at Kaffeology

A tiny café, located on the best-known street in Newport. A place you would not notice right away, but a hidden gem on this busy street. As you walk up to the café you are instantly greeted by golden-painted doors and the aroma of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies that fill up the small intimate café. The whistling of the hot freshly brewed coffee is heard as soon as you reach the marble countertops at the register and the satisfying smell of caffeine hits you like a breeze. Its warm charisma quickly becomes a comfort place, somewhere that you can lean on when you don’t know where you want to go or what you want to do. Several clipboards hang high on the wall showcasing their breakfast and lunch menus. Leily, one of the many young baristas in the back, greets you with an affectionate smile as you walk in, one that sticks with you. The amount of greenery surrounding every corner of this adorable coffee shop makes you feel as if you traveled to a conservatory. Vases of pink and purple flowers sit on the top shelves to be admired by all the customers coming from all different walks of life. Their white brick walls are decorated with a mural of their signature hummingbird and bright, green ferns surrounding it.

Lost and questioning herself, Andreea Natalia found her passion in making people smile with coffee. Natalia first opened the doors to Kaffeology in 2018 with the hopes of bringing people back home with her food and drinks. To leave your stress behind and enjoy the savory
sandwiches or sip a mouthful of creamy cold foam, is Natalia's main focus. Even when you are alone, you can watch all the different types of people through the large glass windows facing the street. Whether these people walking are just visiting or they’re locals, you watch them make their way through the street and imagine what brought them here to this unique town.

Considering it is a small café, inside and out, it offers a wide range of breakfast and lunch options for all taste buds. Ranging between $10 to $12, Kaffeology offers a variety of sandwiches for lunch such as the B.L.A.T, which comes with bacon, fresh tomatoes, avocado,
and lettuce laid on a toasted sourdough bread. An all-time favorite is the Prosciutto & Parma, which has pesto, mozzarella, prosciutto, and ham. Offering vegan options as well, Kaffeology serves the Vegan Vanderbilt Burrito and the Sweet Potato Burrito Bowl.

They also offer breakfast which has an assortment of breakfast sandwiches, bagels, burritos, acai bowls, and even breakfast tacos. At about $6 to $10, come enjoy their popular breakfast sandwiches – The Wicked Good Classic and The Hangover Cure. On the flip side, Kaffeology offers monstrous-sized milkshakes like the Cookie Monster and the Death by Chocolate. They vary from their OG Cold Brew at about $5 to the Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew at about $6 and the Death Wish, which consists of their smooth NOBL cold brew with nitrogen and two shots of espresso.
